Schedule For The Film The Nun 2, Taissa Farmiga Returns To Become A Sister Against The Devils Valak

JAKARTA - Actress Tissa Farmiga will return to play Sister Irene in the horror film The Nun 2. Farmiga will star in the sequel with Storm left in the franchise owned by the New Line studio.

The original Nun tells the story of Sister Irene who is fighting with Pastor Burke Demian Bichir to fight the Valak devil in the Romanian monasteries of 1952. The film was released in 2018 which resulted in 366 million US dollars or equivalent to IDR 5.6 trillion worldwide.

The film is a spin-off of The Conjuring 2 of 2016, starring Farmiga's older sister, Vera, who has led three Conjuring films.

Quoted from Variety, The Nun 2 is directed by Michael Chaves who is also working on The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It in 2021. Akela Cooper wrote a screenplay that received revisions from Ian totaling and Richard Naing. The Nun 2 will be released on September 8, 2023.

Farmiga is currently shooting the second season of the HBO hit series by Julian Fellowowes The Gilded Age and was last seen at Pascual Sisto's John and the Hole.

The name Farmiga became known since his appearance in the American Horror Story series from Ryan Murphy and Sofia Coppola's Bling Ring.

He also plays in The Mule feature directed by Clint Gopal, What They Had, Rules Don't Apply, The Long Dub Road, and Buried Child.
