JAKARTA - Actor Jourdy Pranata was lined up to be the Ambassador Festival at the Jakarta Film Week 2022 which will take place on October 13-16. He admitted that he was very honored to be part of the prestigious festival.

"When the Jakarta Film Week team offered to become the Ambassador Festival, firstly I immediately felt honored. As a young generation, I was very happy to be a representative of the film festival," said Jourdy in Jakarta, Friday, September 17.

As an actor, Jourdy said he had the same passion and desire as Jakarta Film Week to continue to be productive in working even though he had to face challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For that reason, Jourdy did not hesitate to get involved as an Ambassador Festival.

"It turns out that we have the same spirit. (Jakarta Film Week) appears in the midst of a pandemic, I also during the pandemic choose not to remain silent in the sense that we are still making works, doing work with health protocols. So why not work together," said Jourdy.

According to Jourdy, Jakarta Film Week will give him many benefits. The reason is, in this event, he will meet many filmmakers so that he can learn more about the world of cinema.

Tak hanya itu, Jakarta Film Week juga menjadi tempat di mana dia bisa menonton banyak film. Tak hanya film dari dalam negeri yang tayang tayangkan di bioskop, tapi juga film-film dari luar negeri dengan berbagai genre.

Jourdy himself interprets films not only as entertainment media. According to him, film is a medium where he can learn a lot from cultures in various parts of the world, to learn about life, including understanding yourself.

For this reason, as the Jakarta Film Week Ambassador Festival, Jourdy also wants to invite everyone, especially the younger generation, to watch movies through festivals because there will be many lessons that can be learned later.

"Moreover, this is a festival film, definitely a filmmaker will present their message, knowledge, or voice through their work. So I want to invite everyone in this world to watch a film through a festival so that we can learn more about life," Jourdy invited.

"From a simple thing, for example, to communicate with people at home, sometimes there is an emotional relationship that makes me confused about what to do. But through a film, you can see oh he chatted with his mother like this. That's a small thing that I can apply from the film. So film is indeed as impactful as it is for me personally," he concluded.
