Jourdy Pranata Determines The Bring Of Jakarta Film Week 2022 World

JAKARTA - Jourdy Pranata is an actor who was selected as an ambassador for the 2022 Jakarta Film Week (JFW). He said he was honored to be joining the festival which entered its second year.

When the JFW team offered it, firstly, it was an honor to join a film festival. It's really nice," said Jourdy Pranata today, Friday, September 16.

He admitted that he was confused because his name was included in the selection list. Then he just found out that his work during the pandemic attracted the attention of the committees.

JFW ini kan muncul di tengah pandemi. Dan karya aku dilihat sama mereka dari sampai sekarang itu sustain, katanya.

"I also like coming to festivals and there is a festival that I want to be the ambassador, of course this is an honor," explained Jourdy.

According to Jourdy Pranata, film festivals play a major role in Indonesian cinema. He thinks film festivals can bring works and voices from countries that we may never have heard of.

"As an actor seeing JFW is an advantage to see the process and learn from it," said Jourdy.

Interestingly, the film he starred in - Ballad Si Roy became the opening film for Jakarta Film Week 2022. Of course, this film is also a work that is expected to reach the audience.

The film Ballad Si Roy is the first time this novel has been visualized after 30 years when Gol A Gong was written. We hope that this film can be entertainment for those who come to JFW," added Susanti Dewi as the producer of the film.

"I will come to the opening because I work and the film Ballad Si Roy is also premiered here," said Jourdy Pranata.

In addition to being an ambassador, Jourdy Pranata will be a speaker in a talk session. He also attended the 2022 Jakarta Film Week series.

Jakarta Film Week 2022 will be held from 13-16 October 2022 at CGV Grand Indonesia and Kineforum.
