BTS Talks About First Grammy Awards Nominations At The James Corden Event

JAKARTA - The day after the announcement of the 2021 Grammy Awards nominations, BTS appeared at The Late Late Show with James Corden today, Wednesday, November 25.

Presenter James Corden said congratulations. He also asked BTS's reaction when he found out that they were nominated for a Grammy, especially regarding V's reaction that was not surprised by the announcement.

"The reaction of each member is different to this nomination. For me, I don't believe it even more," said V in response to Corden's question.

"I did not appear on the video because I was sleeping. I was crying but I did not wake up," said J-Hope in response to V.

When asked what the Grammy nominations meant for BTS, the group's leader RM answered, "First, it is a big step for us in the music industry. We are much happier when we see how proud our fans are now."

"We feel like our hard work has finally paid off. Even to get into the nominations and not win is great. A big honor."

They also shouted compactly "Thank you ARMY!" because of this first nomination at the Grammy Awards.

Apart from that, they also talked about the process of making a BE album. They said this album contains their feelings when undergoing a pandemic situation.

Suga, who was absent from BTS activities, was not seen in the talk session with James Corden. They said Suga's reaction was, "Ah why am I sleeping" and missed the announcement of the nominations.

BTS received the first nomination at the Grammy Awards for Best Pop / Duo Group Performance for the song Dynamite. They became the first South Korean singers to receive this nomination.
