Kemenpora Cup Fashion Show Competition And PWI Jaya Trophy Success, Celebrities Call On Government To Support Student Creativity

JAKARTA - The Indonesia Merdeka Fashion Show competition which was held to enliven the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, Saturday, August 20 in the lobby of the Kemenpora Building, Senayan, was lively. The celebrities who became the jury explained their appreciation for the attention of government agencies to support the creativity of young people.

"I appreciate the attention and concern of the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in supporting this very useful activity," said Duma Riris Silalahi, a judge for the Indonesia Merdeka fashion show competition, after the competition.

"If I may be honest, this kind of activity in government agencies deserves support," said Jemima, another jury.

A similar appreciation was expressed by another jury, Arzeti Bilbina. The member of Commission IX of the DPR who is also an artist said that the creativity shown by the contestants proved the need for support from various parties, especially government agencies.

"At this time, the Ministry of Youth and Sports may be the next in other government agencies," said the PKB politician who starred in "The Sinking of the Van Der Wijck Ship".

Arzeti Bilbina, Duma Riris, Jemima and two other judges, young culturalists Benny Benke and Irish Riswoyo, generally praised the performance of 70 participants from 30 high schools throughout Greater Jakarta in the fashion show competition for the Indonesia Merdeka Cup, the Kemenpora Cup and the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Jaya. The 70 participants managed to amaze the audience and the jury.

The winners of the fashion show competition received the Kemenpora Cup and the PWI Jaya Cup, in addition to the million rupiah prize money. Of the 70 participants in the preliminary round, 15 finalists were chosen, to determine the three main winners and two expected winners.

The fashion show competition for Indonesia Merdeka, the Kemenpora Cup and PWI Jaya, which was held by Siwo Jaya and the Press Gas Thin Thin (PGTT) community, carried the theme of touring, adventure and hiking clothing.

The participants who filled the lobby of the Kemenpora Building since this morning were very enthusiastic about participating in the competition.

"We are motivated to hold a similar competition again in October, especially to commemorate Youth Pledge Day," said Fitriawan Ginting, chairman of the committee from PGTT, in a press release received by VOI.

Praise was conveyed by Sayid Iskandarsyah, chairman of PWI Jaya, who officially opened the Indonesia Merdeka 2022 fashion show competition.

"I salute, the committee succeeded in presenting many participants with each of their extraordinary support groups," Sayid said in his remarks.

Lively support was given by the supporters of each participant. They shouted slogans and cartons with the names of the participants on them.

The Indonesia Merdeka fashion show competition was supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Telkomsel, Intibios, Oval Advertising, Aktiv, Aqua, EIGER, Satas Transporindo Internasional, 69 Street Caffee, Sango Hotel Management, and Nendia Primarasa.

Participants are exempted from registration fees, get snacks and lunch and certificates of appreciation. They were also entertained by Ki Atmowijoyo, a parapsychologist & love charm master.

The Kemenpora Cup for the first winner was won by the Alvaro Raipura Hadi-Isabel Angelina Sianturi duo from SMAN 8 Jakarta. They also received a prize money of IDR 5 million.

The PWI Jaya Cup for the second winner was won by the Stella Angelina-Muhammad Bintang Agiva Siregar couple from IT Raflesia High School, Depok. Prize money of IDR 3 million.

Telkomsel Cup for the third winner for Reghyta Kanaha Adriansyah - Marcello from Budi Luhur Raden Saleh High School, Ciledug. Favorite duet, M. Yudha Putra Satria-Syira Nabilasyifa Dewantoro from SMAN 3 Tangerang.
