JAKARTA - Thousands of fans of the progressive metal band Dream Theater began to crowd the Manahan Stadium in Solo on Wednesday, August 10 night. People come from various regions in Indonesia to be able to watch the concert by the music group from the United States.

One of the spectators, Andi, said that he had bought tickets some time ago. This man from Palembang came to the place with a number of friends.

He admits that he started liking Dream Theater since 2003. "I came from Palembang by bus, because it was cheaper. The trip was one day. I stayed in Solo since Monday, August 8, planning to return to Palembang tomorrow," he said.

Previously, the Founder of Rajawali Indonesia, Anas Syahrul Alimi, who acted as the concert promoter, said that 70 percent of ticket buyers came from outside the city of Solo.

In online sales, he said, there were as many as 7,000 tickets sold. In addition there are 2,000 loyalty programs with several sponsors.

"There are also 1,000 tickets that we keep for the D day, because there are so many friends who can't buy them online. So on the spot we have prepared 1,000 tickets," he said.

For the price of concert tickets that are sold on the spot, for the festival it is Rp. 1.5 million and for the festival B the price is Rp. 1 million.

Regarding the appearance of the band fronted by James Labrie as vocals, John Myung on bass, John Petrucci on guitar, Jordan Rudess on keyboards, and Mike Mangini on drums, he made sure there would be something unique.

Although he has not been able to convey the number of songs that will be performed by Dream Theater, he said, the show will last for two hours with a 30-minute break.

"The eight o'clock performance (20.00 WIB, ed.) starts right away. One hour later, take a 30 minute break, continue playing for another hour," he said.
