JAKARTA - Shinta Priwit created and sang the jingle Abnon Pusat to promote a series of Abang None Elections in Central Jakarta 2022 (Abnon Pusat 2022) which took place some time ago.

The 2022 Central Abnon Election contest is part of the Central Jakarta City Administration's efforts through the Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-Department (Sudin Parekraf) to reactivate the tourism and creative economy sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the interesting things about Abnon Pusat's jingle is that the lyrics and songs were created by the singer whose real name is Shinta Setyawati in a very short time.

"Alhamdulillah, the ideas for the lyrics and songs immediately flowed after hearing information from the Central Jakarta Parekraf Sub-dept.," said pop reggae musician Shinta in his official statement.

The lyrics of the Abnon Pusat jingle invite the public to be more aware of the existence of Abang None in Central Jakarta as an ambassador who preserves Betawi culture while promoting tourism and the creative economy in Central Jakarta.

"Hopefully this jingle can be useful and bring blessings not only to Central Jakarta Parekraf Sub-dept. but also to society in general," hoped Shinta.

For the musical arrangements, Shinta was assisted by music director Rachmat Ady. While the male vocals in this jingle are sung by Adhi Ristyawan Djawas, who is also the Nandak choreographer for the finalists of Abang None, Central Jakarta 2022.

Making songs and jingles is nothing new for Shinta, who has been working in the Indonesian music scene since 2003. Dozens of songs and jingles have been created thanks to Shinta's singing and composing skills.

Last March, Shinta was entrusted by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) to compose a song aimed at increasing public awareness of the importance of preventing violence against women and children in Indonesia.

Currently, Shinta is busy with her activities as the Kiano La La La Music Team with singer Andien as well as being the voice of Jojo's character in the Kiano La La La animated series which airs through the YouTube channel.
