YOGYAKARTA – Love that is not romantic is rarely realized. Because what many people imagine is a sweet love story but less realistic. Falling in love with someone, or your current partner, may be driven by achievement factors, abilities, to personality characteristics. Some others, are attracted to their partners physically without knowing about the person behind the ideal physical image. There are also those who fall in love based on the flame of chemistry between two humans. However, these three things cannot completely make the flame of love always bright.

It's also important to see a realistic picture of what will happen. First, what can keep the flame of love alive is authentic admiration and appreciation. It's not a false flattery that research proves about the importance of grounding romance in reality.

Will Mosier in his 2005 study, describes true romance based on reality. He compares realistic and unrealistic romantic images. He also noted that people were confused about the romanticism seen in the film, which in fact created hatred and disappointment realistically. Mosier in his study, emphasized the importance of accepting responsibility for our own happiness, instead of believing that it depended on falling in love.

The second point in maintaining the flame of love, couples need to pay attention to the style of interaction. The reason is, dissatisfaction leads to fault-finding.
