Collection To Be A Producer, Prilly Latuconsina Feels Different Challenges

JAKARTA - The actress and young filmmaker revealed that she now enjoys more working behind the scenes by becoming a producer.

"I really enjoyed and enjoyed behind the camera more. I really enjoyed the process, we started from scratch to produce film content and series, from analysis, stories, marketing, and others. Production (films and series) is more challenging for me," said Prilly when met in Jakarta, Friday, July 8.

Prilly herself has taken part as a producer in the film "Kukira Kau Rumah" (2022), the series "Today Why, Naira?" (2022), and the series "Cinta Di Balik Awan" (2022), all three of which are directed by Umay Shahab under the Cinemaku production house.

For the Ambassador of the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI), although challenging, the behind-the-scenes process has its own excitement. He can be free to work and innovate following the development of the national film trend with his fellow producers involved.

"It feels different and there is a challenge for itself. As producers, we determine the content we will make. Moreover, we cannot read the Indonesian film market and series, unlike other creative businesses such as fashion, food, and others that we can read the market," said Prilly.

"It's different from a very dynamic film with changes in behavior, market and taste. It's difficult and as a producer, it's really challenging for me to determine what content is suitable for, right? What will the marketing look like? However, this could be a portfolio and experience for us," he added, quoted from ANTARA.

When asked whether her preference for being behind the scenes will have an impact on her acting career, Prilly said this is a form of her love for the world of Indonesian film. However, after all, he also still loves his profession as an actor.

"This is also a form of my love for the film world, and I want to get involved and contribute in it," said the "Danur" (2017) film player.

"(By working behind the scenes), I can choose the issues I want to raise. I believe films, series, and live images are the right vehicle to raise an issue and give a message to the audience," he added.
