JAKARTA - Chris Evans hopes that he will return to star in the Fantastic Four franchise which was released in 2005. Playing the role of Johnny Storm or Human Torch, the actor wants to be able to play that role once again.

“God.. Isn't that cool? Nobody ever asked me. I know I don't look the way I used to be," Chris Evans recalled speaking to MTV News.

“The film was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I'm old. But I really love that character. I don't think they're up to something with the Fantastic Four?" he asked.

It is known that Jon Watts was appointed to the Fantastic Four reboot but left to direct the Star Wars spin-off series, Skeleton Crew.

Furthermore, Chris Evans even feels that the Human Torch character will sell more than Captain America, his character in the Marvel cinematic world (MCU).

"I would love that. The character is easier to sell than return as Cap (Captain America). You know right? Cap is such a valuable character and you know I don't want to disturb what a wonderful experience it was," said Chris Evans.

"But for Johnny Storm, I don't think he's got his popularity yet. Even that was long before the Marvel era. I love that character and who knows right?” continued Evans.

Chris Evans played Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four in 2005. He got the role before signing on as Captain America in the MCU.

Currently, Evans is promoting his latest film, Lightyear in which he voices the character Buzz Lightyear.
