Artist Ludruk Cak Sapari Is Being Treated At RSUD Soewandhie Surabaya

JAKARTA - The artist member of the Ludruk Kartolo CS group, Cak Sapari, received medical treatment at the dr. Mohamad Soewandhie in Surabaya City, East Java Province, after several months lying sick at his home.

"He is being treated in the emergency department. Until now, we are still doing diagnostics with chest radiographs and laboratories," said the President Director of RSUD dr. Mohamad Soewandhie Billly Daniel Messakh in Surabaya, quoted from Antara, Sunday 19 June.

He said that Cak Sapari, who had complained of coughing for the past four months, was in stable condition during his stay at the hospital.

"If Cak Sapari's condition gets better, then he can then undergo outpatient treatment," he said.

Billy said that health workers picked up Cak Sapari at his house on Jalan Simo Mulyo Baru, Surabaya City, and took him to the hospital using an ambulance on Saturday (18/6).

According to him, Cak Sapari's wife had refused to take her husband to the hospital because Cak Sapari's BPJS Health card was no longer active and his identity card was missing.

However, he continued, the results of checking the population registration number data showed that Cak Sapari was still listed as an active participant in the Health Insurance Program organized by BPJS Health.

The officer then explained the mechanism of health services in the city of Surabaya to Cak Sapari's wife and finally Cak Sapari agreed to undergo treatment at the hospital.

​​​​The Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi previously ordered the Head of the Surabaya City Health Office Nanik Sukristina and the President Director of the RSUD dr. Mohamad Soewandhie provides maximum health services to Cak Sapari, a well-known ludruk artist who was born on July 5, 1948.

He said that the city government would ensure that Cak Sapari received medical treatment until he recovered.
