JAKARTA - A post on social media became crowded after sharing the news that actress Acha Septriasa had passed away. The YouTube video clip was made with a thumbnail of the actress along with flowers on a condolence board.
The post was immediately crowded and denied by Turn Back Hoax, the official website made by Kominfo. On Wednesday, June 15, they stated that the news was not true or a hoax.
"There is a narrative circulating on Facebook social media by the Villa Chipoy account informing that Acha Septriasa has passed away," wrote Turn Back Hoax on the same day.
"The narrative also includes a link from the mnc-news-harian[dot]blogspot[dot]com site entitled "The sad news of Singer Acha Septriasa Dies, All Fellow Artists Didn't Expect it," he continued.
“After further investigation, this is not true. Launching from his official Instagram account @septriasaacha, Acha Septriasa is known to be still active in sharing various kinds of activities," he said.
Monitoring from his Instagram account, Acha Septriasa attended the 2022 Sydney Film Festival. He watched the film Nana by director Kamila Andini with Happy Salma.
Acha also uploaded several Instagram Stories while attending the event. He talked with other film activists.
The Turn Back Hoax party stated that the content uploaded by Villa Chipoy was misleading content.
