NANANA Release, JAY B's Haru Story Gets Trademark For GOT7

JAKARTA - K-pop group GOT7 is back with the latest album titled Self-Titled. This album marks the group's return after terminating the contract with JYP Entertainment in 2021.

It is known that currently the seven members of GOT7 have joined different agencies. But it didn't become a group project that just ended. JAY B talked about his struggle to get a trademark (trademark) for the group.

"We didn't accept it because the rules changed, but CEO Jung Wook (of JYP Entertainment) was happy to trademark it," JAY B quoted Soompi as saying on Tuesday, May 24.

"Even when I talked to lawyers, they said there were no cases where trademarks were given happily, so I want to thank (JYP Entertainment) Park Jin Young and CEO Jung Wook," explained JAY B.

As a leader, JAY B takes care of documents and files for the members. Now, all of GOT7's content and music is theirs.

"When I contacted each member and took care of the documents, there I realized that this was not easy and I felt I should be grateful to my agency," explained JAY B.

This gratitude is expressed in GOT7's album with the main track NANANA. It was revealed that this comeback has been in the works since last year along with the members' solo projects.

“Our leader went through a lot of things that were not easy. But I'm glad we can work together. Fans have been waiting for us so this is the perfect time to repay them," said Jackson.

GOT7's album with the title track NANANA is a pop song with light lyrics that conveys the expression of wanting to meet someone. The vocals of the seven members chime in on the song JAY B wrote.

“We released this album because we wanted to keep the team and prove GOT7 didn't disband. We want to keep our promises with fans and focus on promotions," said BamBam.

NANANA's song and GOT7's new album can be listened to physically and digitally starting Monday, May 23.
