Away From Books, Bridgerton 3 Will Focus On The Story Of Colin And Penelope

JAKARTA - The Bridgerton series is confirmed to continue into its third season. However, there is something different from the third story, namely the focus of the story is different from the book by Julia Quinn.

Bridgerton 3 focuses on the story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). This news was revealed by Coughlan at the FYSEE event on Sunday, May 15.

"Like Lady Whistledown, I've kept a secret for some time and I can confirm that the story of season 3 is the love story of Colin and Penelope," Nicola Coughlan quoted Deadline as saying.

“I kept it a secret two weeks since the 2nd season (release). This is the first time I've spoken about this."

Its first two seasons correspond to the two novels. The first season follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Page Jean). Then in the second season, there are Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley).

In the third book, Bridgerton tells Benedict Bridgerton and his love story. However, Netflix changed the concept of the story to Colin and Penelope.

Colin and Penelope's story has been around since Bridgerton's first season. Colin and Penelope are good friends and Penelope has feelings for Colin for a long time.

In season two, Penelope hears Colin talk that he will never marry Penelope.

In addition, creator Chris Van Dusen also stepped down from production so Bridgerton 3 will be produced by Jess Brownell. Bailey and Ashley will appear in the third season while Ruby Stokes stepped down from her role and was replaced by Hannah Dodd.
