JAKARTA - The film Srimulat: Hil the Mustahal will be available in two acts in Indonesian cinemas starting May 19, 2022 and the middle of this year. This comedy film is the first biopic of the legendary comedy group Srimulat. Telling about the period when Srimulat's career began to climb, the comedy group Srimulat became the first to appear on Indonesian national television.

The long journey of its members, Tarzan, Gepeng, Timbul, Basuki, Nunung, Asmuni, Tessy, Paul, and Ibu Djudjuk is very interesting to convey. MNC Pictures and IDN Pictures have finally announced that the film Srimulat: Hil Yang Mustahal will be available in 2 acts.

The plan, Srimulat: Hil the Impossible Act 2 will be released in the middle of this year. Filming itself has been completed since some time ago.

Fajar Nugros as the director carried out a very long research process. Starting from serious writings about Srimulat, scientific writings, to meeting and interviewing all surviving members of Srimulat, as well as directors who have directed the Srimulat group.

"I built this story for a long time, more than four years," Fajar was quoted as saying in a press release on Saturday.

Srimulat: Hil the Mustahal has also just released its first poster and teaser trailer. Some of the footage from the film is expected to be able to invite laughter and introduce Indonesian legendary comedians to young audiences.

"Srimulat is the name of a historical comedy group and the largest in Indonesia, we did basic research to produce a high quality production, this film is finally here to be a representation of Srimulat's unique comedy," said Titan Hermawan, President Director of MNC Pictures.

This film is expected to make the audience entertained again, release fatigue and bring happiness to the entire Indonesian family.
