JAKARTA - This is the Jami Al-Makmur Mosque, a historic mosque located on Jalan Raden Saleh Raya No. 30, Cikini, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Formerly this mosque was a large vacant plot of land owned by Raden Saleh Syarif Bustaman or known as Raden Saleh. The mosque, which was built in 1890, is a move from a Surau built by Raden Saleh around 1860 next to the house. Jami Al Makmur Mosque has the architecture of the old building with wood carvings that are still preserved. This mosque has about 7 main doors and 10 windows made of genuine teak. Built only two floors, the first and second floors are both functioned as a place of prayer that can accommodate up to 700 worshipers. Now the building has been inaugurated as a cultural heritage by the Governor of DKI Jakarta based on DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation No. 9 of 1999. This means that the mosque has been established for hundreds of years since the Dutch East Indies era until now. Watch the video below.
