JAKARTA - The dealer who killed singer Mac Miller was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Mac Miller died from an accidental drug overdose.

Launching PEOPLE, Monday, April 18, the court gave a verdict to Ryan Michael Reavis who claimed not to know if the fake oxycodone drug he was given was mixed with fentanyl. It turned out that the drug caused the singer's death.

“This is not a case of ordinary drugs. Someone died, and a family never got their child back. My family would be devastated if that happened to me," Reavis told the court.

"And I know whatever happens today, I am a lucky person because my family is here and I will be with them. I feel scared. This is not me. My perspective has changed. My heart has changed," he continued.

Ryan Michael Reavis was sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison for his involvement in Mac Miller's death. In the verdict, Mac Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, revealed the impact she received after the musician's death.

“My life went dark after Malcom (real name Mac Miller) left this world. Malcolm is more than my son. We have a deep, special and irreplaceable bond. We talk every day about everything - her life, plans, music, dreams," says Karen Meyers.

“He never took pills with fentanyl, at all. He wants to live and is enthusiastic about the future. The hole in my heart will always be there," he added.

Reavis is also said to be still selling the drugs a year after Mac Miller's death.

Mac Miller died on September 7, 2018 in his home studio. Previously he was scheduled to shoot a music video and will be on a world tour starting in October. Los Angeles Police said Mac Miller died of poisoning with a mixture of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
