JAKARTA - Pink Floyd has released their newest song in 28 years entitled Hey, Hey, Rise Up. The song is the band's attempt to help the Ukrainian people affected by the Russian Invasion.
The song Hey, Hey, Rise Up features a sampling of Andriy Khlyvnyuk, a Ukrainian singer as a sample song. This is their latest release after last releasing the album The Division Bell in 1994.
This song was composed by all members of Pink Floyd: David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Guy Pratt and Nitin Sawhney. They also include a Mat Whitecross-directed music video.
“I hope this song can get support and publicity. We want to raise funds for donations. We want to express support for Ukraine," Gilmour quoted NME as saying.

Previously, Pink Floyd removed their music from streaming services in Russia and Belarus as a form of support for Ukraine. All sales of the song Hey, Hey, Rise Up by Pink Floyd were donated to Ukraine Humanitarian Relief.
