Acha Septriasa Becomes Pocong Mumun

JAKARTA - Acha Septriasa was chosen as the main character in the film Mumun directed by Rizal Mantovani. This news was shared by the Dee Company production house through the Instagram page last week.

"Hi, MUMUN @septriasaacha," wrote the account.

Apart from Acha, Dimas Aditya and Volland Humonggio also starred in the film Mumun. The trio were seen shaking hands with producer Dheeraj Kalwani.

In February, they released a blue teaser poster. Mumun will be adapted from the soap opera Jadi Pocong which was popular in the early 2000s.

So Pocong tells the story of a pair of lovers, namely Mumun and Juned. Their love story ended after Mumun had an accident because he was hit by a car.

Juned, who lost Mumun, just resigned himself to the departure of his lover. On the day of the funeral, Husein, the gravedigger, forgot to untie Mumun's pocong.

Therefore, Mumun asked to be untied as well as take revenge on the person who hit him.

This film will be directed by Rizal Mantovani, who is known for a number of his horror films such as Kuntilanak and Jailangkung. The film Mumun is also Acha Septriasa's new work after Layla Majnun in 2021.

Mumun is one of the Indonesian horror films that will be released this year.
