JAKARTA - Lamb Of God collaborated with Megadeth to remake an old song by Dave Mustaine's band, Wake Up Dead. The song was first released in 1986, the lead single from one of Megadeth's best-selling albums, Peace Sells… But Who's Buying?.

Now, one week before the second part of The Metal Tour Of The Year begins, Lamb Of God is releasing Wake Up Dead featuring Mustaine and three other members from the current Megadeth line-up; Kiko Loureiro, Dirk Verbeuren and James LoMenzo.

Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz recorded this Megadeth classic remotely and teamed up with Mustaine to perform his guitar playing as well as sing on it.

Mustaine contributed his signature vocals to the track. Meanwhile, the guitar solos were executed alternately by Mustaine, Morton, and Loureiro. The record also includes vocal contributions from Loureiro, Verbeuren and LoMenzo.

"We had so much fun playing with Lamb Of God on their cover of Wake Up Dead. It was almost as much fun as we played every night on The Metal Tour Of The Year. I can't wait to meet the crowd," Mustaine told Blabbermouth.

"Wake Up Dead is a very important song for me as a young aspiring guitar player. It was one of the first songs that started my lifelong love of thrash metal and helped reinforce me that, while solos may be fun, my loyalty is to riffs." Morton chimed in.

"So you can imagine how exciting it was for Lamb Of God to cover this legendary song with Dave and other Megadeth members," concluded the guitarist.
