Nia Daniaty's Daughter, Olivia Nathania Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison For Fictitious Civil Service Recruitment Cases

JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court sentenced the defendant to three years in prison for the fraudulent case of recruiting fictitious Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS), Olivia Nathania, daughter of singer Nia Daniaty.

"Senting a three-year prison sentence, stipulating that the defendant remains in custody, stipulating that the 23rd item of evidence is returned to the public prosecutor for another case," said the panel of judges in the trial with the agenda of reading the verdict at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, March 28.

The judge said that the defendant's actions resulted in distrust of civil servants (PNS), the victims suffered a total loss of hundreds of millions. "The defendant honestly admitted frankly and regretted his actions," said the judge, quoted from ANTARA.

Responding to the verdict, Olivia stated that she would consider the judge's decision to her attorney.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya investigators named Olivia Nathania as a suspect in the fictitious CPNS recruitment case on November 11, 2021.

The determination of the status of the suspect was carried out after going through the case process and the police found that there was a criminal element and was equipped with sufficient evidence.

The police immediately detained him on the same day after the police named Olivia as a suspect.

The file was handed over to the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office for investigation before finally being tried at the South Jakarta District Court.

After the files were declared complete, the case was heard at the South Jakarta District Court.

From the statements of several witnesses from the Prosecutor and their attorneys who were presented at the trial, the Prosecutor demanded that the daughter of artist Nia Daniaty be sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison for alleged violations of Article 378 in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code on Fraud.
