JAKARTA - Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington was supposed to celebrate his 46th birthday on March 20. It doesn't feel like it's been five years since the rocker left the world.

His wife, Talinda Bennington shared a heartwarming message for her husband. Through his Instagram account, he uploaded a photo of Chester holding a sign that read "Happy Birthday."

"Happy Birthday. We really miss you. The pain doesn't get any easier but you'll get used to it - that's what they say. I'm not sure I believe in all of that," wrote Talinda Bennington on Sunday, March 20.

“No one is used to this kind of grieving. I try my best to raise our children like we always talk about," he said.

Ending her message, Talinda revealed how difficult it was to live life without Chester by her side.

“You are my soul mate and it is very difficult to walk without you. I love you and we celebrate you today," concluded Talinda.

Chester Bennington died on July 20, 2017 after choosing to end his life by hanging himself at the age of 41 years. Since her husband's death, Talinda has spoken out about mental health to the public.

Talinda founded the organization 320 Changes Direction which focuses on mental health. Chester's bandmates at Gray Daze are also planning to release an album in tribute to the vocalist.
