Creates Charity Project, Travis Scott Reflects On Astroworld Concert Riot

JAKARTA - Rapper Travis Scott returns to Instagram after several months of hiatus following the riots at the Astroworld concert. He said he had been on hiatus after contemplating the incident.

"Over the past few months, I have taken time and space to grieve, reflect and do my part to heal my community," said Travis Scott in a recent post.

"Importantly, I want to use the resources and platforms to move towards change. It will be a long journey for me and my family," he continued.

This Kylie Jenner lover founded Project HEAL which aims to make all concerts or events a safe place. The project will work in collaboration with Travis Scott's organization, the Cactus Jack Foundation.

"I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who are in my heart forever," said Travis Scott.

Project HEAL will focus on public safety, academic scholarships, technology-based event safety, and free mental health counseling.

“Creating opportunities for young people is something I want to do as long as I have the chance. This program will be a step change and I can't wait to bring you the technology and ideas we're working on. See you soon," concluded Travis Scott.

Travis Scott's Astroworld concert in 2021 became a riot that left 10 people dead. Currently, the rapper, Live Nation promoter, and label are facing lawsuits from concert audiences.

The aftermath of this riot affected a number of collaborations that Travis Scott worked on, ranging from the postponement of album releases, concerts, and collaborations with Dior.
