The Plan To Move Vanessa Angel's Grave Was Blocked By 30 Demonstrators

JAKARTA - Doddy Soedrajat's plan to move the grave of his late son, Vanessa Angel, sparked a controversy that caught the public's attention. In fact, a demonstration against the plan was held by Barisan Ksatria Nusantara (BKN) at the Taman Islam Malaka TPU, South Jakarta, Saturday, February 12.

Around 30 people took part in the demonstration. Some of them displayed the attributes of refusing to move Vanessa Angel's grave that read "We refuse to demolish the tomb," and "The transfer of the tomb is an inhumane act," reads the statement on the banner.

Ahmad Qais as the head of the coordinator of the demonstration revealed the reason why he and his team went down on the streets to reject Doddy's plan to move Vanessa's grave.

"In our opinion, the demolition of this tomb is no longer a private matter, but has become public consumption because it had gone viral. Therefore, we reject the plan to demolish the tomb that will be carried out by brother Doddy Sudrajat," said Ahmad as quoted from the YouTube Paragram Official Channel.

"The transfer of the tomb must be for a clear reason. For example, for forensic needs or there is a natural disaster. We will continue to monitor it until Mr. Doddy does not dismantle Vanessa Angel's grave," he added.

As is known, this is not the first time BKN has clashed with Doddy Sudrajat. Vanessa's father was even reported to the Polda Metro Jaya in December 2021 on suspicion of a case of defamation. The report was prepared by the Head of BKN, Muhammad Rofi'i Mukhlis or Gus Rofi'i.

The report began when Gus Rofi'i made a special video for Doddy, who offered the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 phone, if his intention to move the tomb was canceled. However, the offer was not well received by Doddy and was used to defame him.

"I put my video on his Instagram, 'don't worry about HP, I'll just refuse the Samsung factory.'

The lawsuit against Doddy is registered under the number LP/B/6551/XII/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. In the lawsuit, Vanessa Angel's father was charged with Article 310 and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code, and/or Article 27 paragraph 3 Juncto, Article 45 paragraph 1 and/or Article 28 paragraph 1 of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE). .
