Musician Youngky Soewarno Passes Away, Dewa Budjana And Krisdayanti Feel Lost

JAKARTA - Dewa Budjana and Krisdayanti share the sad news. Musician Youngky Soewarno passed away on Friday, February 11. The guitarist Gigi expressed his condolences through an upload on his Instagram.

"Farewell, mas Gregorius YOUNKY SOEWARNO (composer, arranger, keyboardist, great producer of this country)," wrote Dewa Budjana.

Youngky Soewarno is known as one of Indonesia's best musicians and composers. Dewa Budjana also shared his last portrait with Youngky Soewarno in a recording studio.

Youngky was the figure behind Krisdayanti's success in the 1992 Asia Bagus event and came out as champion. No wonder Krisdayanti also feels lost.

In Insta Story, KD uploaded his sorrow. "My Deepest Condolences for Mas Younky Soewarno, he was the one who found me to be sent to the Asia Bagus 1991 event," wrote KD.

In fact, KD still had a job with Younky until the end of his life. "Unfortunately, it's not finished yet, but Mas Youngky first passed away," he said.

Besides Krisdayanti, Yongky Suwarno also brought Rossa to the recording studio again when she was a teenager. Yongky gave the song Nada-Nada Cinta which made people know Rossa.

Younky Soewarno is survived by his wife, Maryati and three children, Lina Sukawanti, Aditya Kharisma, and Leora Laeticia. Younky's works are sung by many famous singers, including Ita Purnamasari, Nicky Astria, Nia Paramita, Paramitha Rusady, Novia Kolopaking, Achmad Albar, Trio Libels, and others.
