JAKARTA - The latest film produced by Starvision, Ashiap Man can finally be shown in theaters on February 10, 2022. The wide screen directed by Atta Halilintar can be watched by all ages and presents a new superhero for Indonesian children.

Ashiap Man tells the story of Zul (Atta Halilintar) who is obsessed with heroes and only Aisyah (Aurelie Hermansyah) who always supports him as a knight to defend their village. One day Zul meets a mysterious woman named Kiara (Nasya Marcella) and fails in trying to save her father. As a result, Zul is discouraged from becoming a hero.

Apart from Atta, Aurel and Nasya, this film also stars Nasya Marcelka, Gritte Agatha, Rizky Billar, Elma Theana, Samuel Rizal, Yayan Ruhiyan, Marcelino Lefrandt, Raffi Ahmad, and Nagita Slavina.

Many think that Ashiap Man is a super hero-themed film like Marvel and DC productions that feature superpowered figures. It was not done from the start, because he wanted to cultivate the seeds of chivalry in society without the need for special powers.

"We want to create works that can inspire children, youth and Indonesian families to care more for others, care for the environment, and nurture the seeds of nationality," said Chand Parwez when giving a speech at the Gala Premiere Ashiap Man, Epicentrum XXI, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday 3 February evening.

Keeping working in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is not easy. Not infrequently filmmakers have to delay the shooting process to an unpredictable extent. Ashiap Man's film faced this challenge, even taking 2 years to complete.

"Atta's seriousness for his work needs to be given a thumbs up and reminds me of the late Benjamin S and Dono when they were heroes in old films which were very memorable for me," he said.
