Studying Islamic Law, Gus Miftah Says Dorce Gamalama Cannot Be Buried As A Woman

JAKARTA - Dorce Gamalama, who made many people care and provide assistance when they were sick, made a will. Dorce had prepared the shroud as well as the ground for his future burial.

One of the messages conveyed on the YouTube channel Confusing Bang Denny was that Dorce wanted to be buried as a woman. He also did not want there to be tahlilan after 40 days of death.

This made Gus Miftah react. "First, I wish Mother Dorce to recover, her condition to improve, and to return to her activities," said Gus Miftah, quoted from the NitNot YouTube channel, Sunday, January 30.

Gus Miftah studied Islamic law based on the nature of Dorce's birth. Dorce was born with the name Dedi Yuliardi Ashadi. She often performed under the name Dorce and more often positioned herself as a woman.

Feeling increasingly trapped in a man's body, Dedi then decided to have sex change surgery. He then had sex change surgery in 1983.

"This is indeed very controversial, yes. So firstly, in the letter Alhujurat Allah created only two sexes, male and female. In fiqh there is a third gender called honsah, a person who is two girls or boys, both both exist. And this person wants to be made a girl or a boy with medical analysis," he said.

"If conditions like this are fiqh, he (Dorce Gamalama) is still a man. That means, his funeral will certainly return to his original nature. If he was born a man, it is better if he should be buried in a male state," continued Gus Miftah.
