JAKARTA - Within 24 hours, there were 10 names of K-pop idols who were announced positive for COVID-19. Chanwoo iKON and three TREASURE members are said to have been exposed to the virus.

The YG Entertainment agency stated that their artists, namely Chanwoo iKON and Choi Hyunsuk, Junkyu, Mashiho TREASURE were positive for COVID-19. Luckily they have received a complete vaccine so that all four of them are in good condition.

These four idols follow the previous row of YG Entertainment artists such as Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and iKON's Donghyuk, WINNER's Lee Seung Hoon, and Yoshi TREASURE who were diagnosed first.

Then there is the soloist Kwon Eun Bi who is positive for COVID-19. He takes the test after one of his backup dancers is positive and Eun Bi takes the initiative to take the PCR test.

Monday from the Weekly group also experienced the same thing. On Thursday, January 27, Monday attended the Double Trouble event with WEi's Kim Dong Han and soloist Hyolyn. Both names also tested positive for COVID-19.

Then there was Ju Haknyeon from the group THE BOYZ who got a positive result after the PCR test. Previously, he tested negative but when he tried the test again, Haknyeon was called positive.

"Ju Haknyeon got a positive result during the PCR test while seven other THE BOYZ members tested negative. We will carry out strict quarantine and continue to carry out periodic PCR tests," said THE BOYZ's agency.

Apart from Haknyeon, three other THE BOYZ members such as Eric, Younghoon, and Hyunjae are currently isolated in separate places.

Yuna from the Brave Girls group was also exposed to COVID-19 after her condition worsened. As a result, the staff and other Brave Girls members immediately underwent a PCR test and the results were negative.

"We have canceled several schedules for Brave Girls. And we continue to do the rules according to health authorities," said the Brave Girls agency.

An hour ago, Umji from the VIVIZ group tested positive for COVID-19. He communicated with a staff member who turned out to have COVID-19. So far, Umji has no serious symptoms and remains isolated.

Most recently, Yoo Bin from Oh My Girl tested positive for COVID-19. At first, Hyojung, a member of Oh My Girl, was told that she was in contact with someone positive. The other Oh My Girl members immediately underwent a PCR test and only Yoo Bin was positive.

Currently, South Korea has reported an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases of 16,096 and 6,678 deaths.
