Rahmania Astrini's Pepperoni Pizza Doesn't Make You Full, But Can Cure Longing

JAKARTA - Young musician Rahmania Astrini has re-launched a single with the RnB genre titled Pizza Pepperoni. The song, which is inspired by one of the names of the food, is dedicated to couples who are in a long distance relationship (LDR).

Astri's latest song will explore a different atmosphere from her previous songs, which tend to be dominated by pop. Opened with Astri's soft voice and accompanied by an acoustic guitar, the song Pizza Pepperoni becomes an easy-listening song that is fun to listen to anytime.

“This song is about the feeling of wanting to be reunited with the person you love after a long time of not seeing each other. And when you meet, there are things you want to do together, like as simple as eating with pepperoni pizza," said Astri as quoted from ANTARA, Friday, January 28.

Astri shared that the inspiration for the song came when she ate pepperoni pizza. Pepperoni pizza was created by Astri and produced by Dila Sarah. The recording process did not take long.

The selection of this song also has its own unique story. Astri initially uploaded snippets of some of her latest songs on her Tiktok account. Until finally Pizza Pepperoni became a song that got the attention of his followers until it was finally decided to be recorded and made into a single.

As of today, the single teaser video has been watched by more than 438 thousand times and has received more than 1000 comments. In his latest single, the winner of the AMI Awards for the Best Solo R&B Singer 2020 category for the song "Runaway", plays music with a new, cheerful feel.

Unlike the last two songs, "Butterfly" and "When You Were Mine", which have a darker theme song.

“Pizza Pepperoni is the first really bright and lovey dovey single from me. Besides that, I will tell you about LDR that I have never had a song with a theme like that. Hopefully this song can be a friend for you," said Astri Astrini, who won the 2019 and 2020 AMI Awards as the Best Solo Artist R&B Singer.
