JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that currently his party is still waiting for data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding who is entitled to use Pertalite-subsidized fuel.

He added, while waiting for data from BPS, the government finalized the formulation and study.

"We are still looking for a formulation that is almost final and we still need 1-2 cases. What we have to do to ensure that the recipients for partial diversion are right on target. And now BPS is validating more data to be able to really accept it is the rightful one," said Bahlil, quoted on Saturday, December 14.

Bahlil said that data collection by BPS will be completed within 1 week because it still has to synchronize data from several Ministries/Institutions (K/L) such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PT PLN (Persero) and PT Pertamina (Persero).

"BPS 1 this week is the last. Because there is not one data so far. So what? It can be used as a reference to all about those who are entitled to receive assistance and or who are entitled to receive cash subsidies," Bahlil explained.

Regarding the scheme that will be imposed in the distribution of subsidized fuel, Bahlil ensures that the scheme imposed remains in the form of a blending scheme or a mixture of subsidies to goods or through Direct Cash Assistance (BLT).

"Blending, still blending," said Bahlil.
