Jasa Marga Will Implement Contraflow On The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road During The Nataru Holiday, Capai's Longest Distance Of 23 Km

BEKASI - The longest contraflow lane system during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays is on the Jakarta "Cikampek (Japek) toll road.

President Director of PT Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JTO) Yoga Tri Anggoro said the potential for contraflow on the toll road has reached 23 kilometers (km).

"In the SKB that has been issued by the government, our potential is to make the longest contraflow in the Jakarta "Cikampek" section, which is about 20 to 23 km," Yoga said at a press conference at the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center, Bekasi, West Java, Friday, December 13.

"The road users who enter contraflow, please really ensure the feasibility or readiness of the vehicle and the condition of the body are considered. Why? Because I said earlier when entering the contraflow, of course road users will not be able to enter the rest area," he continued.

For this reason, JTO has prepared several steps to keep the contraflow running safely.

One of them is the installation of cone barriers or funnels that are getting closer together.

"So what we will increase for this contraflow is that we will now close the distance between cones. We are now closing the installation distance to 5-8 meters, then combining it in the contraflow lane between the cone and also the water barrier," he said.

Later at night, the barrier will also be given lighting in the form of clip lights so that road users can clearly see the barrier.

According to Yoga, his party will coordinate with the police to prepare a escort car as a safety car to guard users' vehicles that enter periodically.

"The goal is to maintain speed and order for road users when conducting contraflows. So, this only enters periodically, he (safety car) will enter to guard so that the speed is regular, the order is orderly according to the lane," he said.

However, Yoga appealed to road users to increase their vigilance when entering the contraflow lane.

"I urge road users to be more aware of their awareness, vigilance, when entering the contraflow lane. Because even though we have increased security, the most important thing is that the awareness of road users when entering the contraflow really must be fit, the vehicle must be fit," he added.
