This Is The Reason Sri Mulyani Silenced And Avoided When Asked By The Media

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati opened her voice regarding her silence and avoided the media crew when asked about several economic policies.

Sri Mulyani explained that she was focusing on completing some substantial work.

"Friends of journalists feel that I have been silent in the last few weeks, I'm not doing anything, but we are really busy. So, if we are busy and also focus a lot on very, very substantial things," Sri Mulyani said at the Press Conference of our State Budget, Wednesday, December 11.

Sri Mulyani said that there are many things that need to be considered because environmental conditions are constantly developing, so the focus must be on important work, one of which is preparing the 2025 State Budget, which involves coordination with various ministries, institutions, and local governments.

"Meanwhile, the environment that appears is also very large. So we don't change each other, only this is the time for us to absorb a lot with the work we have to do. On the other hand, we are also preparing the 2025 State Budget which will be carried out," he explained.

In addition, Sri Mulyani said, one of the other focuses is having to complete the submission of the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) by the President to all Ministries/Institutions.

Sri Mulyani explained, in the process of handing over DIPA to K/L there was a budget reallocation due to several changes and the addition of K/L in recent times.

"You can imagine because of changes to the ministry of institutions, in the last two weeks we have to reallocate and design new ministries with new budget account bodies and then how they split their budget for 2024 and the implications for 2025," he explained.

"So once again I will convey and emphasize that there is indeed a lot of work volume that we have to do," he said.
