Ministry Of PUPR Auction For IKN VVIP Airport Access Road Project IDR 8.33 Billion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is auctioning off a road access project to VVIP Airport at IKN Nusantara.

Citing the official LPSE PU website on Monday, November 13, the access road project to VVIP Airport is worth IDR 8.33 billion. In more detail, the project will be built using the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the 2023 fiscal year.

"The construction of the VVIP IKN Airport Access Road is a form of support for access to and from the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), and strategic steps that will facilitate better accessibility to VVIP Airports that support the mobility of the president, high government officials, and state guests who use this facilitation," reads the statement from the Ministry of PUPR in the document.

Later, this access road will ensure that important leaders and guests can reach VVIP Airport safely, quickly, and efficiently. This facility plays an important role in maintaining the security and comfort of the country's leaders, as well as in supporting diplomatic relations between Indonesia and other countries.

For the technicalities, the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR represented by the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) will hold a construction work agreement carried out by the Work Implementation Construction Provider involved in the implementation of this work for a certain period of time.

It is known, the location of this work package is located in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan Province.

As previously reported, the Ministry of PUPR has begun to auction off the VVIP Airport construction project in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago. The value of the project package touched around Rp4.28 trillion.

Quoting from the official LPSE PU website, Tuesday, October 3, the budget for the airport project construction comes from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year (TA) 2023.

This auction began to open in fulfilling some of the construction needs of the VVIP Airport on the runway side for physical construction packages in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

"In accordance with the plan to build the State Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan Province, the Ministry of PUPR through the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center builds VVIP Airport with the aim of increasing accessibility and mobility of important guests (VVIP) from and to the IKN area via air transportation," wrote a brief description of the LPSE page of the Ministry of PUPR.

For your information, IKN VVIP Airport will be used to serve the interests of government activities at IKN. Built with a VVIP terminal area of 2,000 square meters and a VIP terminal of 5,000 square meters, as well as a runway of 3000 x 485 meters.

This airport is about 25 kilometers (km) from Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan, and about 107 km from Samarinda Airport. The funding for the construction and operation of VVIP Airport is sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
