Rosan Roeslani Resigns From The Deputy Minister Of BUMN, Will Focus On The Chairman Of The Advanced Indonesia Coalition Campaign Team (KIM)

Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Erick Thohir menyatakan menghormati keputusan Rosan Roeslani yang mengundurkan diri dari jabatan itu,

"I respect Pak Rosan's decision, and I have discussed internally at the ministry," said Erick in Jakarta, Saturday.

Erick ensured that the Ministry of SOEs would not have a new Deputy Minister to replace Rosan. The position, said Erick, is sufficient to be filled by Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, who currently serves as Deputy Minister of BUMN I. Regarding the decision, according to him, his party has also reported to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"I have reported the President, that one of the Deputy Ministers, Mr. Tiko (Kartika Wirjoatmodjo), who has been with him all this time, happened to be on a tour of duty yesterday. So it's enough for one of me not to go anywhere. We focus on the existing work," said Erick.

It is known that the Ministry of State Secretariat has received a letter of resignation from the Deputy Minister of SOEs Rosan Roeslani on October 24, 2023. Responding to the request, the President granted it by issuing a Presidential Decree (Keppres) on October 25, 2023 which stated that Rosan was honorably dismissed.

Rosan is known to have been elected as Chairman of the KIM Campaign Team which carries the presidential candidate pair and prospective vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. This was announced by Prabowo at the declaration event at the Indonesia Arena Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Wednesday (25/10).

Before resigning, Rosan was appointed Deputy Minister of BUMN by President Jokowi to replace Pahala Mansury who was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (Wamenlu) on July 17, 2023.
