JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) reminded high-speed train passengers to come to the station no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

This is because the train boarding system at the gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departure schedule.

PT KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa explained that the implementation of this policy aims to ensure the safety and security of passengers while at the station and on the train.

"KCIC is also committed to ensuring that Fast Train travel is in accordance with the schedule set with the target timeframe to reach 100 percent," he said in Jakarta, Friday, October 27.

Eva still said, this policy also considers the extent of the station and the distance that needs to be taken from the gate on the 2nd floor to the station platform located on the 3rd floor, it will be very risky if passengers rush or run towards the platform because it is feared that passengers can fall and be injured.

"Therefore, through this policy, high-speed train passengers are advised to arrive at the station 30 minutes before the scheduled departure to avoid falling behind the train," he said.

Moreover, continued Eva, when they arrived at the station there were a number of processes that passengers had to undergo before entering the train, starting from checking luggage to boarding.

"For passengers who arrive late, the tickets that have been purchased cannot be returned and cannot be used for further train trips. If you still use the fast train trip, you have to buy a new ticket," he said.

Meanwhile, said Eva, passengers who have purchased Fast Train tickets online through thectionsh application, web ticket.kcic.co.id, and other official booking channels no longer need to print tickets because they can directly board using the QR Code they get after purchasing tickets.

"This of course can shorten the boarding process," he explained.
