The Fast Train Journey Was Delayed For 20 Minutes, KCIC Apologizes

JAKARTA - The journey of the HIGH-speed train today for the departure schedule at 13.00 WIB from Halim and Tegalluar Stations was held for about 20 minutes.

This delay was due to an attempted suicide by an unknown person.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said PT Kareta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) apologized for the delay.

"KCIC apologizes for the inconvenience caused by efforts to secure the route that must be carried out for safety," Eva said in an official statement, Monday, October 23.

Eva also explained that the G1125 Fast Train on the Halim-Tegalluar route had stopped at 10:45 a.m. at KM 105 after the driver received a report of an unknown person climbing the walls of the noise at KM 103, Cempaka Mekar Village, Padalarang, West Bandung Regency.

After coordinating with security officers and the authorities, in this case, the Padalarang Sector Police, said Eva, the person was successfully evacuated to secure the person concerned and train trips. After being declared safe, the Fast Train

"To account for his actions and get further information, this person has been handed over by KCIC to the police. It is suspected that the person concerned has a mental disorder and is suspected of trying to commit suicide," said Eva.

Furthermore, to carry out more detailed checks at the scene, officers carried out a blackout of the upper flow electricity network to carry out more in-depth inspections for the safety of passengers and train trips. Then the train journey with a departure schedule at 13.00 WIB for Halim-Tegalluar and Tegalluar-Halim relations was delayed by about 20 minutes.

In terms of route security, continued Eva, KCIC has installed a guardrail with barbed wire along the fast train line to prevent foreign objects or individuals from entering the railway line area.

KCIC has also installed various sensors and CCTV to monitor the condition of the high-speed train line.

"All officers also periodically carry out field patrols through collaboration with the TNI and Polri for security and socialization to the community which is carried out regularly," he explained.
