JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, has proven its commitment to fulfilling energy needs, one of which is the management of mature fields and assets. TIE 2023 is one of the leading innovation exhibitions in Taiwan and Asia. In a series of TIE activities, it was attended by more than 600 participants from 23 countries. TIE is a leading event for innovation in Taiwan and Asia organized by Taiwan's External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), with the aim of showcase innovative technology capabilities, creating international business opportunities, and encouraging industrial transformation.
On that occasion, PHE won four awards, namely:
1. Project Collaboration Improvement (PC Prov) Suparman Regional 2 PT Pertamina EP obtained Gold Medal with the title "SUPARMAN (Seking Unrained Potential in Mature Asset Production) Method to Increase 3,000 Barrel Oil Per Day Production and 2.3 Million Barrel Oil Proven Reserves in Krisna Field, Indonesia";
2. PC Provincial Machinist Regional 3 PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia obtained a Silver Medal and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) Special Award with the title "LOCOMOTIVE Methods - A Method of Determining Reactivation Candidate of Inactive Oil Wells";
3. Jambi Marebu Regional 1 Replication Team Improvement (RT Provincial) PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan received a Silver Medal and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) Special Award with the title "Invention of Ultra Cyclone to Solve Pump Stuck Problem Due to Sand Ingression";
4. PC Prove EFA Regional 4 PT Pertamina EP Cepu obtained Bronze Medal and NRCT Special Award with the title "Increasing Oil & Gas Prospective Resources using EFA Software".
This award was given directly by the Director General Dr. Cheng-Wei Liao from Taiwan Intellectual Property Office in a series of awarding ceremony events held on October 14, 2023.
PHE's Director of Human Resources & Business Support, Oto Gurnita, revealed that PHE's success in the 2023 TIE event is an acknowledgment of international existence and is also proof of its contribution to the growth and development of the energy industry.
