Pertamina Appreciates Police Successfully Unloading Misappropriation Of 501,730 Liters Of Pertalite

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) has succeeded in uncovering a number of irregularities and abuses of fuel and subsidized LPG.

Just so you know, in the last 6 months Bareskrim has managed to secure evidence of Solar Subsidy of 717,850 liters, Pertalite of 501,730 liters and subsidy LPG of 118,504 tubes.

President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati expressed her appreciation to Bareskrim for its support in the process of distributing fuel and subsidized LPG by revealing and taking action against many abuses in the field.

"The disclosure and prosecution of the misuse of Subsidized fuel and LPG has succeeded in reducing misappropriation and saving state finances in the form of subsidies. At the same time, we provide a deterrent effect and we want to ensure that all fuel and subsidized LPG are really enjoyed by those who are entitled, namely the poor, farmers, fishermen and MSMEs," he said, quoted on Thursday, October 5.

Nicke continued, Pertamina hopes that this synergy will continue in the context of handling fuel fraud and subsidized LPG.

"We are really grateful for all the support carried out by Bareskrim. This is the work of the Task Force 24 hours a day, 7 days a week there has never been a stop," he explained.

Director of Certain Crimes Bareskrim Brigadier General Pol. Drs. Hersadwi Rusdiyono, S. H., MH expressed his gratitude to Pertamina for working with the National Police Criminal Investigation Task Force Team. This hard work does not only involve the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, but also the Regional Police, Polres to Polsek.

"This is a joint work between Pertamina and Bareskrim POLRI and Polda in order to secure government subsidies, especially LPG and fuel. We formed a task force in the context of law enforcement against the misuse of fuel subsidies," he said.

He explained that in the last 6 months there were 406 police reports, 338 reports are still under investigation, and 435 people have been named as suspects. In Solar Subsidy there were 218 investigation reports with 286 suspects. Pertalite has 80 police reports and 94 people have become suspects. Meanwhile, LPG Subsidy there are 40 police reports and 50 people have been named as suspects.

"Both for the overall Java region, Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi and even Papua there is also action there. This means that we are taking this action with the hope that those who are now doing not do their actions again. Of course, the issue of misuse of subsidies is our priority, for us to enforce the law and this will continue. So that fuel and subsidized LPG can reach the people who are entitled, "he explained.
