First Day Of Operational Trial, Fast Train Successfully Transports 1,700 Passengers

JAKARTA - The operational test of the Fast Train with passengers on Friday, September 15 went smoothly. It was recorded that 1,700 people from various regions traveled by Fast Train from Halim Station to Tegalluar Station and vice versa.

PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said the rapid train operational test with passengers was part of the preparation ahead of the full Fast Train operation.

"The 1,700 passengers who took part in the Fast Train trip today are divided into 4 travel schedules for the Halim - Tegalluar round-trip (PP) train," he said in an official statement quoted on Saturday, September 16.

During the rapid train operational trial period with this passenger, Eva continued, KCIC provided 4 PP travel schedules so that a total of 8 train trips operate every day during the trial period which will last until September 30, 2023 with the following schedule:

1. Halim Station Relations - Tegalluar PP: 09.00 WIb and 14.00 WIB2. Relations of Tegalluar Station - Halim PP: 09.00 WIB and 14.00 WIb

Overall, the rapid train operational trial with the community on the first day went smoothly safely and without problems.

"The public is very enthusiastic about participating in the fast train trip for Halim Station -Tegalluar and vice versa. The situation of fast train travel during the trial with passengers which was held today is very conducive. All aspects of operational testing activities are going according to plan," he said.

He added that during the trip, the public also expressed admiration and curiosity to use the Fast Train and provide positive support from the presence of high-tech fast trains as a mode of public transportation. In the trial that took place on the journey from Jakarta - Bandung from Halim Station to Tegalluar, it was achieved within 46 minutes.

He explained, in this trial activity, all people registered in the passenger manifest received travel insurance protection. This is done as an effort to ensure the safety of passengers.

The rapid train operational testing activity with passengers is one way to introduce fast train transportation modes to the public. Through this activity, the public will get to know the Fast Train and it is hoped that it can become a user of the Fast Train in the future.
