KCIC Boss: High Speed Train Trial With Jokowi Runs Smoothly

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) tested the Jakarta Bandung high-speed train from Halim Station to Staisun Padalarang, today.

Jokowi also tried the feeder train or Train from Padalang Station to head to the center of Bandung City.

This was said by the President Director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet, when met at Halim Station, East Jakarta, Wednesday, September 13.

"I'm happy to be able to try the Jakarta Bandung high-speed train for the first time with an operation speed of 350 km per hour from Halim to Padalarang. He even tried to integrate between his modes. He moved the Feeder train from Padalarang to Bandung Station," said Dwiyana.

Dwiyana said that the journey of Jokowi and the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Working Cabinet by fast train and Feeder Train went smoothly.

"Alhamdulillah, it went smoothly (there were no obstacles)," he said.

Dwiyana admitted that so far there has been no specific note from President Jokowi regarding the trial of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train today.

"So far, he said everything went well until the trial stages that are now being carried out by KCIC with the Ministry of Transportation," he said.

Dwiyana said that his party was trying to obtain an operating permit from the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

"Certification of facilities and infrastructure, including how we can get an operating permit, everything is still on track, still okay, there are no significant obstacles," he said.
