Open The 26th Asean-China Summit, Jokowi: Cooperation Must Benefit Each Other

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that concrete cooperation between Asean-China is needed. This includes prioritizing mutual trust.

This was conveyed by Jokowi when opening the 26th Asean-China Summit (KTT). This forum was attended by ASEAN leaders with Chinese Prime Minister, Li Qiang at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Wednesday, September 6.

"RRT is one of four partners in ASEAN that has a comprehensive strategic partner status and this is 20 years of access to RRT for treatment of emergency and cooperation," he said.

"We have to realize concrete cooperation that is mutually beneficial," he continued.

According to Jokowi, concrete cooperation realization can only be done if all countries have mutual trust.

"This can only be done if we have trust from each other which is built together between parties," he said.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that this concrete trust and cooperation could be a positive force.

"This concrete work is the positive force for regional stability and peace," he said.
