JAKARTA - PLN Jakarta Raya Distribution Main Unit ensures the smooth running of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) which lasts for three days, starting from September 5 to 7, 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan.

General Manager of PLN Jakarta Distribution Main Unit, Lasiran said, PLN has implemented 4-layer electricity security at the ASEAN Summit location.

"All the main locations for the ASEAN 43rd Summit activities have been equipped with 4-layer electricity security, including the JCC, which is the center of the Summit and the venue for the opening of a series of summit events in Jakarta," said Lasiran, Tuesday, September 5.

He added, if PLN has also prepared supporting tools, such as 11 Mobile Substation Units with a total capacity of 7,940 kVA and 9 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a total capacity of 2,980 kVA.

"PLN has built the ASEAN Electricity Control Center Summit as the electricity control center," said Lasiran.

Not only focusing on electricity infrastructure, continued Lasiran, PLN has also prepared an electric vehicle charging infrastructure complete with 79 electric vehicle charging stations (EV charging).

"In this infrastructure, there are 74 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and 5 General Electric Charging Stations (SPLU). This infrastructure is designed to meet the needs of 560 electric cars and 240 electric motorcycles used during the ASEAN Summit," he said.

To secure electricity supply during the ASEAN Summit, PLN has also prepared dozens of Troops in Voltage Conditions (PDKB), which are PLN's elite troops.

This officer will be on guard 24 hours during the event to ensure smooth electricity supply.
