JAKARTA - Bank DKI in its collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a form of commitment to support and empower MSMEs, held a financial literacy education program packaged in training with the theme Mmental Entrepreneurship and Literacy for Personal Financial Management to more than 500 MSME actors assisted by the East Jakarta Administrative Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperative Trade Office or known as JakPreneur.

The training that has been carried out throughout the July 2023 period has been carried out in 10 sub-districts in DKI Jakarta, namely: Cakung, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara, Pulo Gadung, Matraman, Kramat Jati, Makassar Village, Pasar Rebo, Cipayung and Ciracas.

President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono in a written statement, Friday, August 18, said that the financial literacy training program is Bank DKI's commitment to encourage MSME actors to be ready to face challenges and welcome opportunities in an increasingly competitive economic era.

"With better knowledge and skills in financial management, it is hoped that MSMEs can manage their business more efficiently and quality, thereby increasing competitiveness and can grow and develop sustainably," said Amirul.

For information, Bank DKI recorded KUR distribution in 2022 of 100 percent of the quota or Rp1.15 trillion to approximately 6,023 MSME and Micro business actors. As for 2023, Bank DKI received a portion of Rp2.8 trillion, with details of the conventional allocation of Rp2 trillion, and Sharia of Rp800 billion.

Amirul further emphasized that Bank DKI will continue to be committed not only to expand access to credit/financing, but also to continue to encourage empowerment and provide assistance so that MSMEs can grow and develop in supporting the regional and national economy.

According to the East Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-dept., Derlina Melinda Sagala, this activity is also a manifestation of the implementation of DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation No. 2 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Integrated Entrepreneurship Development.

"Training is filled by entrepreneurship experts, banking practitioners, MSME practitioners and entrepreneurship from Bank DKI as well as assistants to JakPreneur DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. MSME/Jakpreneur actors who are also present also feel that they have received great benefits from this training activity and hope that similar entrepreneurship training can be held more often and regularly," explained Derlina.

Support MSMEs Through Digitalization

Apart from the capital side, Bank DKI is also actively supporting MSME players through the market digitization program in DKI Jakarta, especially the Perumda Pasar Jaya management market. Bank DKI also provides a payment ecosystem through the JakOne Abank application, implementation of QRIS, to digitizing payments in other facilities in the market environment, which is expected to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions.

In terms of digital service solutions, Bank DKI also continues to develop the JakOne Mobile application as a super app with various digital service features that can accommodate various daily financial transaction needs, especially for traders and market visitors, such as payment of various bills, taxes, levies, online shopping, top up electronic money, to QRIS transactions.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi added that various digitalization breakthroughs made by Bank DKI are expected to provide benefits for expanding financial inclusion in DKI Jakarta through non-cash transactions, one of which is ease of applying for credit or financing.
