Cool! State Budget Surplus Seven Months In A Row IDR 153.5 Trillion

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani reported that the condition of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) in July 2023 closed with a surplus position of IDR 153.5 trillion.

According to him, this achievement was formed because of the greater state revenue with Rp1,614.8 trillion compared to the expenditure side of Rp1,461.2 trillion.

"The performance of the July 2023 State Budget is maintained positive," he said at a press conference held today, Friday, August 11.

The Minister of Finance explained that this nick also puts the primary balance at IDR 394.5 trillion.

"The APBN surplus until last month was equivalent to 0.72 percent of gross domestic product (GDP)," he said.

In detail, the state treasurer revealed that state revenue of Rp1,614.8 trillion had reached 65.6 percent of the APBN ceiling. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side of Rp1,461.2 trillion is equivalent to 47.7 percent of this year's target.

VOI noted that the slick results recorded by fiscal instruments last month extended the record surplus that had occurred since the beginning of the year. It was stated that in January 2023 the APBN had a surplus of IDR 90.8 trillion.

Then in February a surplus of IDR 131.8 trillion, March IDR 128.5 trillion, and April IDR 234.7 trillion, May a surplus of IDR 204.3 trillion, and June a surplus of IDR 152.3 trillion.

"Income and spending grow solidly in maintaining economic recovery and protecting the community," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
