JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) stated that banking liquidity remains loose so that it has the potential to encourage continued credit and financing increases.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said the ratio of liquid assets to third party funds (DPK) was recorded at 26.73 percent in June 2023.

"This is in line with Bank Indonesia's loose liquidity policy stance," he said after the Board of Governors Meeting, quoted Wednesday, July 26.

Perry explained that the development of liquidity played a positive role in the development of banking interest rates.

It was stated that the IndONIA interest rate market was quite low, namely 5.61 percent on July 24, 2023.

As for the bond market, the short-term SBN yield was recorded at 5.99 percent.

Meanwhile, the long-term SBN yield was recorded at 6.22 percent on the same date.

Then for banks, the 1 month deposit interest rate and credit interest rate in June 2023 were kept low, at 4.14 percent and 9.34 percent.

"Bank Indonesia continues to ensure adequate liquidity to maintain financial system stability and increase credit and financing in order to continue the national economic recovery," said BI Governor Perry Warjiyo.
