PLN Predicts Jakarta's Electricity Load To Increase By 13.19 Percent During Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - PLN Jakarta Distribution Main Unit (UID) Raya predicts that on the first day of Eid al-Adha the electricity needs of Jakarta residents will reach 4,515 Mega Watt (MW), an increase of 13.19 percent compared to last year.

PLN also ensures reliable and safe electricity supply to meet the needs of Jakarta residents with a supply capacity of 8,687 MW.

Some Jakarta residents celebrated Eid al-Adha yesterday. A total of 39 mosques in Jakarta have performed Eid prayers. Meanwhile, 457 mosques performed Eid prayers today," said General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Doddy B. Pangaribuan in a statement, Thursday, June 29.

At this Eid al-Adha, PLN alerted 2,148 personnel spread across 17 PLN UID Greater Jakarta Alert Posts. PLN has also alerted 7 units of Mobile Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), 7 Mobile Cable Units (UKB), 9 Mobile Substation Units (UGB), 2 Mobile Diesel Units (UDB), 4 Crane Units, 4 SKTM Detection Units, 4 SKTM Assessment Units, 64 cars and 77 Technical Services Motors.

A total of 496 mosques in the Jakarta area are under the supervision of PLN, with the Istiqlal Mosque being the main monitoring of the implementation of Eid prayer.

Several public service centers also did not escape PLN's monitoring. A total of 9 transportation zones, 32 defense zones, 59 government zones, 58 hospitals, 5 tourist attractions, 94 shopping centers, and 77 SPKLU points are also confirmed to have reliable electricity supplies.

Eid this time also coincides with long holidays and school holidays. Moments like this are certainly a moment of family gathering or holiday moments together.

Doddy appealed to customers who spend the holidays at home, make sure the electricity bill has been paid or has filled out the kWh credit, so that the moment of gathering with their relatives becomes more comfortable. Meanwhile, customers who want to take a vacation out of town, make sure all electronic equipment has been revoked.
