Optimization Of Phase-4 SLO Development WK Rokan Approved By SKK Migas

JAKARTA - SKK Migas agreed to Optimize Field Development (OPL) for Sumatra Light Oil (SLO) Phase-4 for Rokan Working Area (WK), Riau. Where, managed by Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS).

With the approval of the OPL, it is estimated that additional oil and gas reserves of 26 million barrels of oil will be obtained with a production peak of around 10 thousand BOPD (oil barrel per day) at the Rokan WK.

"SKK Migas continues to be committed to supporting the development of the Rokan WK, as we all know that WK Rokan is still the backbone of national oil production with an average production of 160 thousand BOPD. We hope that with the approval of the Phase-4 OPL, PHR can achieve its production target," said Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Dwi Soetjipto quoting Antara.

The scope of the Phase-4 OPL approved by SKK Migas includes drilling 245 wells and updating production to manage the added oil.

Dwi revealed that the total investment to be disbursed in the Phase-4 OPL is around Rp. 12.5 trillion with an estimated state revenue of around Rp. 10.5 trillion generated from 26 million barrels of oil to be produced.

"Of course we thank Pertamina through PHR for realizing their commitment to continue investing in the Rokan WK. In addition to trying to meet the national production target, this investment is also expected to be able to provide multiplier effects to people in Riau Province," said Dwi.

The multiplier effect that is expected is the creation of a business providing goods and services for local entrepreneurs, the opening of opportunities for business fields, absorption of local workers, and the existence of social responsibility programs from KKKS.

"The upstream oil and gas industry not only has a technical but also non-technical positive impact for the community around the area of operation," he said.
