JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has facilitated a number of electronics and telematics industries or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to showcase the latest technology at the well-known exhibition of Communication Asia 2023 in Singapore.
In Communication Asia 2023, the Ministry of Industry facilitated the signing of the MoU between PT Integration Utama and Mentdrive Tech, a company from Romania engaged in IT by having products and solutions for the maintenance of digitalization. The MoU was signed by Bayu Yasa Wedha as Managing Director of PT Integration Utama and Lucian Ciot as CEO of Mentdrive Tech.
The MoU focuses on implementing OneSpirit ecosystem development cooperation developed by PT Integrita Utama, a geospatial and IoT-based company that has offered major services to various industries and sectors since 2001.
The Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics (ILMATE) of the Ministry of Industry, Taufiek Bawazier, said that the agreement that occurred at the 2023 Communication Asia event showed that the great interest of the domestic ICT industrial Co-Exhibitor was to collaborate with strategic partners in efforts to develop business and competitiveness.
"We really appreciate all parties who have expressed their commitment to strengthening national industrial relations with global supply chain networks. This will certainly accelerate the increase in industrial competitiveness and national economic growth," said Taufiek in a written statement, Tuesday, June 13.
In addition to efforts to facilitate the partnership, the Ministry of Industry has also spurred the competitiveness of the national ICT industry through providing fiscal policies. The fiscal policies offered are tax holidays, tax allowances, and super tax deduction facilities.
"The purpose of this fiscal policy is one of the strategies to encourage increased investment, mastery of technology, and strengthening industrial structures that can be utilized by industrial companies that meet predetermined requirements and criteria," he said.
