PSN New Transportation Sector Completed 12 Projects, Minister Of Transportation: It's Not Yet Masximal

JAKARTA - The government has launched 36 national strategic projects (PSN) for the transportation sector. However, until now only about 12 projects have been completed. The Ministry of Transportation also targets 17 more projects to be completed in 2023-2024.

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi said the 36 PSN for the transportation sector consisted of 14 PSNs in the field of expertise, 6 PSN for air transportation, and 16 PSN for sea transportation.

"PSN has been done carefully. It is not optimal but we still have 2 years, God willing, we can finish it well," said Budi Karya in a working meeting with Commission V of the DPR, Tuesday, June 6.

Of these, continued Budi, 12 PSN have completed construction. The details are the Tebingtinggi-Kualatanjung Train North Sumatra, Kuala Tanjung Port, North Sumatra, South Sumatra Metro LRT, Yogyakarta Kulonprogo New Airport, Yogyakarta Airport Train and Thermobal Kijing Port, West Kalimantan.

Then, the KEK Port of East Kalimantan Maloy, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Lombok Praya Airport, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Kupang Port, Labuan Bajo Multipurpose Terminal, and North Sulawesi Bitung Hub Port.

Meanwhile, 17 other PSNs are targeted for completion in 2023-2024. The details are Muaro Jambi Container Port, Jabodebek LRT, New Palembang Port, Patimban Port, Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train, Jakarta International Stadium-Kelapa Gading-Velodrome-Manggarai LRT.

Then, the South Java Bogor-Sukabumi and Mojokerto-Sepanjang Double Tracks, Benoa Port, Sanur Port, East Java Kediri Airport, Palu Bay Port, Central Sulawesi.

Then, Makassar-Pare Pare, South Sulawesi, Makassar New Port, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi Likupang Port. Then, Sorong Port Development, Papua New Nabire Airport, and West Papua Fak Fak Fak Airport.

As well as 7 PSN targeted for completion after 2024. Starting from the Rantau Prapat-Kota Pinang Train, the Lahat-Tarahan Logistics Train and Prabu Pilih Kertapati, to the North-South Jakarta-South and West-East Jakarta MRT Phase 1.

Next is the logistics infrastructure project at IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan, the Jakarta-Surabaya Railway (DKI-Jabar-Central Java-East Java) to the Port of New Ambon.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said that the progress of 17 PSN for the transportation sector targeted to be completed in 2023-2024 varied. He said, some had reached 60 percent or 70 percent.

Furthermore, Adita said the Ministry of Transportation believes that the 17 PSNs can be completed according to the target because their progress is still on the track.

"We are optimistic that according to what has been reported, it will also be adjusted to our predictions until the end of this year and until 2024," said Adita.
