JAKARTA - In the first quarter of 2023, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) has disbursed loans and financing nearly Rp300 trillion. This acquisition grew 8.16 percent compared to the same period last year of Rp277.13 trillion.

"We are optimistic that by the end of 2023, the company will be able to improve performance according to the set target," said Bank BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu in his statement, Wednesday, April 26.

Nixon revealed that housing credit distribution still dominates the company's total credit in the first quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, housing loans disbursed by Bank BTN until the end of March 2023 reached Rp264.57 trillion.

Of this amount, KPR Subsidy in the first quarter of 2023 still dominates with a value of IDR 148.65 trillion growing 10.90 percent compared to the same period last year of IDR 134.04 trillion.

Meanwhile, Non-Subsidized mortgages grew 5.37 percent to Rp88.81 trillion in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year of Rp84.28 trillion.

"We spur credit by taking great care of the precautionary principle. Therefore, our ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) continues to improve. NPL Gross is at the level of 3.54 percent, lower than before at the level of 3.6 percent," said Nixon.

In terms of third party funds (DPK), Nixon revealed that in the first quarter of 2023 the acquisition of DPK Bank BTN reached Rp319.60 trillion, an increase of 10.01 percent compared to the same period last year of Rp290.53 trillion. From this amount, the acquisition of low-cost funds or CASA reached Rp166.80 trillion, an increase of 30.05 percent compared to the end of March 2022 of Rp128.26 trillion.

During the first quarter of 2023, Bank BTN's net profit managed to grow to IDR 801 billion.

Meanwhile, Bank BTN's total assets until the end of March 2023 increased 9.25 percent to IDR 401.50 trillion compared to the end of March 2022 which amounted to IDR 367.51 trillion.

"With the transformation carried out by Bank BTN and Government support with stakeholders related to the housing financing business, we are optimistic that we will be able to play an active role in supporting the One Million Houses Development program and fulfill the main task of providing housing, especially for MBR and millennials," concluded Nixon.
